Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, I accept the following insurance plans: Aetna and United Healthcare. If you are out-of-network, I can provide you with a receipt/superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

Can I Still Receive Services If I Don’t Have Insurance?

Absolutely. We offer private-pay options for clients who do not have insurance or prefer not to use it. Please contact us for more information about our rates and payment policies.

What is your payment policy for private pay?

To confirm your initial appointment, a valid credit card must be placed on file at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to provide a credit card within this timeframe will result in the cancellation of your appointment.

Payment is expected at the time the service is provided and will automatically be billed to the credit card on file after your appointment.

What is your cancellation policy?

We require at least 48 hours' notice for any appointment changes, including cancellations or rescheduling. If adequate notice is not provided, you will be charged the full rate of the appointment.

For Monday appointments, cancellations or rescheduling must be made by the preceding Thursday to avoid a charge.

What Are Your Policies for Missed or Late Appointments?

Missed appointments will be billed at the usual rate using the credit card on file.

If you are more than 15 minutes late to an initial appointment or 10 minutes late to a follow-up appointment, it will be considered a missed appointment and charged accordingly.

Can I Contact You Between Appointments?

You are welcome to email or call between appointments for questions related to scheduling, payments, or prescription refills. For any complex clinical questions, it should be discussed during appointments as opposed to over email or phone call. Same-day urgent appointments can be accommodated based on availability.

Please ensure you have enough medication to last until your next appointment. In the event of a missed appointment, a one-time courtesy refill may be provided until the rescheduled appointment.

Response Time: Emails and calls will be returned within 1-3 business days.

If you are experiencing a medical or psychiatric emergency, please call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. Your safety is the top priority.

What If I Am Having an Emergency?

If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency — including thoughts of harming yourself, others, or thoughts of suicide — please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.

Once you are safe and have received the necessary care, please inform me if you have accessed emergency services between our sessions. This allows me to provide appropriate follow-up support and adjust your treatment plan as needed.
